The latest results out of West Central are in for SHSAA volleyball as girls' and boys' teams move towards provincials. We received an update from WCHSSA President Lance Morrison as a couple of teams from the area once again moved on thanks to strong performances on the weekend.

The 1A girls' volleyball South Regional was held in Kyle. Beechy participated alongside the hosts, and congratulations goes out to Kyle as they finished 2nd and will attend provincials this weekend in Rose Valley on November 18th and 19th

The Plenty Wildcats will also be in Rose Valley next weekend after they attended the West Regional in Edam and finished 1st in their pool and 3rd overall to advance to provincials.

In the 2A girls' West Regional championship in Moose Jaw, Davidson won the Regional and will attend provincials in Gull Lake. Looking at 3A Outlook High School was in competition, but unfortunately, the girls will not be advancing after seeing their season end over the weekend.

As for the 1A boys, congratulations go out to the host Beechy Blazers as they won their conference and will be heading to Kincaid for Regionals next weekend. Davidson hosted the 2A boys Conference 1 tournament, as congratulations goes to the Eston Mustangs and the LCBI Bisons for finishing 1st and 2nd respectfully, as they will be moving forward to the Regional Championships in Eston on Nov. 19.

Expect another update next week as the volleyball season closes out in Saskatchewan.
