As mentioned yesterday, students from the West Central region had a strong showing at the West Central District Athletic Association championships.
Also included on the list were students from the Lucky Lake School, who had impressive weekends as well.
This includes Kash Meyers who was first in both long jump and high jump, and second in triple jump. Also having a strong showing was Kasey Jessiman, who was first in the 800 metres.
Reanna Williams finished second in javelin, Casey Hamilton finished second in both triple jump and long jump.
Grade 8 student Jake Hargrave won the triple jump, and fellow grade 8 student Cody Blough was fifth in the 300 metres, seventh in the 1500 metres and ninth in the 800 metres. Both will wait until next year until they are able to qualify for provincials.
