As we told you yesterday, there has been an outbreak of Norovirus at a Heartland Health Region facility.

The Kerrobert Integrated Health Centre is currently under visitor restricitons and meals to and from the centre have temporarlily restricted.  Leanne Paproski, Communications Coordinator with the Heartland Health Region says that on Monday they recieved reports of more than one case of illness which constitutes an small outbreak.  Action was taken very quickly after that.

Paproski also said that there are no other facilities in the region that have experienced this so far this year.  However she added that with all of the regions facilities are public facilities which means there is that interaction with the public.

Paproski added that frequent good hand washing is the best way to minimize the spread of the illness.
