Back at the beginning of August, the last round of early advertising for the West Central Crisis and Family Support Centre event “One Magical Evening” took place around Kindersley. Unfortunately their efforts weren't enough, as they were force to make the decision to postpone just a few days ago.

"After much deliberation, the Crisis Centre staff have decided to postpone the “One Magical Evening” fundraiser featuring Matt Gore, better known as The Ginger Ninja, and scheduled for September 9, 2022."

That came in a release courtesy of Monica Shields, Admin Triage Coordinator at the local Crisis Centre, as the decision to postpone was made due to a lower number of ticket sales than originally anticipated. The group also wants to note a desire to respect other event dates in the community, wanting to provide the best evening possible to not only attendees but also to the stellar entertainer as well.

"The people who have purchased tickets they can either get a refund, or I will be contacting them in person. It will be happening a later date though," said another organizer with the Crisis Centre over the phone.

The "Ginger-Ninja" brings a great blend of magic and comedy to the stage, and organizers can't wait for the opportunity.

"Thank you to our community for your patience and understanding. We are so excited to be hosting this event in the near future as it promises to be 'One Magical Evening' for all involved."

Sponsors will be contacted and provided the opportunity to have the Crisis Centre hold their generous donations safely in place, or to have them returned. The release states that donations have been carefully catalogued, so the sponsorship advertising and applicable tax receipts will transfer to the new date as well.

A new date will be decided as they coordinate the details.
