Two west central players were involved in last night's SMAAAHL playoff match-up between the Saskatoon Blazers and Warman Wildcats.
Jaydon Jessiman from Lucky Lake and his Wildcats team are headed to the league final against Notre Dame, following a 6-3 win over Cole Peardon and the Saskatoon Blazers last night. Peardon actually wasn't in the lineup for the series deciding game, and Jessiman had an assist in the clincher.
Peardon did have a strong playoffs going at a point-per-game pace in his 4 appearances, though both of his goals came back at the start of playoffs before his exit from the lineup.
The Prince Albert Raiders first round draft pick had a great first AAA season in scoring 37 points in 35 games, sitting behind a very impressive group of Blazer forwards.
As for the Wildcats, Jessiman was their second leader scorer in the regular season with 54 points in 43 games, and is looking for that pace to come back out as his team enters the finals and he sits under a point a game.
