Last week was Canada Road Safety Week and both the Kindersley and Rosetown RCMP participated to help encourage safe driving behaviours. While conducting several stop checks during the May long weekend, the main focus of the initiative was to help educate drivers in four main area associated in majority of fatal collisions.

Those four areas are:

  • Distracted driving
  • Aggressive driving
  • Impaired driving
  • Drivers not using seatbelts

During the week leading up to the May long weekend, RCMP units responded to 37 additional calls for service which included two 911 calls, three suspicious persons calls, and one assault investigation.

If you need to report suspicious activity in your community, contact the Rosetown RCMP (306) 882-5700, the Kindersley RCMP (306) 463-4642, or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers (306) 1800-222-TIPS (8477)
