A 28 year old woman from Saskatoon is facing multiple charges.

At approximately 9:45 a.m. on January 27, 2017, Rosetown RCMP members responded to a report of a head-on collision between a semi truck-trailer unit and an SUV approximately 10 kms. East of Rosetown on Hwy #7.

Rosetown EMS transported the three adult occupants from the SUV to the Rosetown Hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital, two of the occupants – one male, one female - fled on foot and attempted to hide in the basement of a local business.

Members arrested the two without incident shortly after. The male suspect was subsequently transported to hospital in Saskatoon for further assessment, as was the third occupant (male) of the vehicle. The RCMP is not in a position to provide an update on their injuries. The female occupant/suspect was not injured, nor was the driver of the semi.

28-year-old Vanessa Kraft of Saskatoon is charged with:

* Obstructing justice – 139(1) CC

* Driving with undue care and attention – TSA (Traffic Safety Act)

* Driving without reasonable consideration for others – TSA

* Failure to notify Administrator of address change – TSA

* Have/give/consume alcohol in a motor vehicle – AGRA (Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Act)

Her next court appearance is scheduled for March 28, 2017
