Some news regarding a certain arrest recently came in from the Unity RCMP as part of their latest report.

A release came out on November 16th, as Unity RCMP executed a Feeney Warrant on the night of Saturday, November 12th, in Unity.

According to police, the warrant allowed members to enter into a residence in the 300 block of 5th Avenue West where they arrested Rodney James (aka “RJ”) Fiddler, age 27 of the Meadow Lake area.

This news came following Fiddler being wanted after an incident in Unity during October where he fled from police in a Motor Vehicle and was charged with Flight and Dangerous Driving. At the time Fiddler fled the traffic stop in October, he was wanted for a number of offenses, including:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Failing to Comply with a Probation Order
  • and multiple Failing to Attend Court offenses out of other jurisdictions.

It was noted in the release that as members executed the warrant, Fiddler was located hiding in the attic of the residence in Unity and was arrested without incident.

Fiddler was remanded into custody and appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court during the morning of November 16th, 2022.
