The eventual arrival of spring weather has bikes on the minds of a lot of individuals and with that comes proper bike knowledge and safety. The Town of Kindersley along with the Kindersley RCMP will be hosting a bike rodeo on May 14th and registration for the event is still open.

The deadline to register is April 29th at 1:00pm and can be completed by going to Kindersley.ca

The event will go rain or shine and will be held at the West Central Event Centre. Staff Sgt. with the Kindersley RCMP Kevin Peterson highlighted what the day will consist of.

"The Town of Kindersley along with Supreme Source for Sports, Co-op and fire department are all coming out to do a bunch of bike safety stuff for the kids in town. Its a big group, I think they're hoping to do 3 groups and part of this also is we're doing what is called the Garage 529 program. What is it, its a bike registry that's all over North America. I believe there is about 400 law enforcement agencies using it now. Its a free way to register your bike, it gets all the information for your bike."

Parents must be in attendance for any children under the age of 12. A free lunch will also be provided by the Kindersley Co-op.
