We could see quite the mess around the region heading into next week.

Spring like temperatures in the middle of January are expected to hit the region, as we climb above the freezing mark, likely thawing a large portion of snowfall.  Environment Canada's Dave Carlson says the temperatures are unusual for this time of year.

A warm Pacific air mass will come through the region, bringing temperature ranges from the low to high single digits above freezing.  Carlson adds a return to more normal January temperatures is expected by the end of next week.
