WTO talks collapsed earlier this summer before regaining momentum at the end of the year. 

Canada’s Federal Minister of Agriculture says Canada will remain firm in its position at World Trade Organization talks this year.  Gerry Ritz the member of parliament who represents the eastern part of the classic hits listening area says his government will continue to fight for market access.

Ritz says the government has already issued a challenge through the World Trade Organization.  Ritz added the United States country of origin labelling laws are causing turmoil in the livestock sector.
