The Rosetown and District Harvest Family Festival is back again for the year scheduled for October 6,7,8. It won't be long before the AGT Centre parking lot in Town is full of cars, floats, and more getting ready to depart for the annual parade.
Coming up on August 22 is the next planning committee meeting for the Harvest Family Festival. Anyone who feels they could help out this year are invited to the Youth Drop-In Centre building at 7:00 PM. Previous meetings have been held since April, and the big weekend is approaching fast.
A poster up around town is sharing the fun opportunities that will be available, outside of the standard parade and fireworks.
A Lion's Beef Supper and under-the-lights football game are just two things people can attend. Bouncy castles and a petting zoo are going to be available, and balloon twister is just one game that will be on the docket.
Special guests include the Superdogs team once again and also Sprinkles the Clown. A farmers market, community theatre show, 'harvest hustle', and tough trucks will also run during the weekend.
Look out for a pancake breakfast as well, a celebrity pumpkin carving contest, and some different musical entertainment planned for the weekend.
A more in-depth look at the Festival will be coming once we get into the fall.
