The SWHL player of the week and nominees were announced yesterday by President Joe Cey. Friday's games saw a four-goal effort from Darian Dziurzynski over Unity, and Kerrobert's Brett Neumeier scoring two and adding an assist for a nod, in their 4-3 shootout win over Macklin.
Three games on Saturday saw three shutouts, one by Wilkie's Jared Herle over Hafford, one by Macklin's Ryan Deck over Biggar and the other by Edam's Jake Taylor over Kerrobert. Because of the solid play by Taylor including stopping all 25 shots, he was named player of the week for his efforts.
