Saskatchewan's population continues to grow.

New figures released by Stats Canada show Saskatchewan's popualtion grew by 15,131 people in 2008, and the population as of January 1, 2009 was 1,023,810.

It is the highest the population has been since 1988.

Inter-provincial migration is the biggest contributor to the increase, with 85 % of the net gain coming from Alberta and Ontario.

Next week, Premier brad Wall will join the mayors of Regina and Saskatoon at another job fair in Toronto.
