Despite the cold weather, a great turn out was to be had in the rinks of Rosetown and the surrounding area.

In the Sask Valley Hockey League, the Beechy Bombers won over the Eston Ramblers on home ice last night 4-3.

The Rosetown Sask Valley Redwings took on the Outlook Ice Hawks last night in the Rosetown arena.

And the Loreburn 19ers played the Delisle Bruins at the Lorebrun rink.

The Kyle Elks took another victory over the Elrose Aces at the Kyle Sports Centre 7-2.

The Elks remain first in the league this season and are on a two-win streak.

Today the action getshot as the Delisle Bruins host the Elrose Aces at the Delisle Arena.  

The puck drops at 3 p.m.

And the Kenaston Blizzard is heading over to Central Butte to face the Flyers.  The game starts at 4pm.

In the Sask West Hockey League, the Macklin Mohawks took another victory on home ice beating out the Eatonia Huskies 9-3.

The Kindersley Red Lions also beat the Unity Miners 4-1 last night at the West Central Events Centre.

Tonight the Wilkie Outlaws are traveling up to Macklin to face the Mohawks.  

The Outlaws remain first in the league with a 14-1 record while the Mohawks are third in the ranks and climbing with a 10-7 record.

The Mohawks are defending a 3 win streak; the puck drops at 6 p.m.

In the NHL the Maple Leafs lost to the Boston Bruins 3-2 at TD Gardens last night due to some last minute scoring by Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron.

The Leafs are 26th in the league while the Bruins claim first place.

And the battle of the Alberta teams led the Edmonton Oilers to win over the 2-1 Calgary Flames last night at Rexall Centre.

Edmonton begins a three-game road trip at the Florida Panthers on Monday. Calgary plays the second of a five-game trip at the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday.
