According to this morning's Environment Canada forecast, it's setting up to be a scorching day around west-central Saskatchewan.

Get the sunscreen out as Thursday's UV index is reading 7 or higher, a value that suggests it could only take around 30 minutes to cause a sunburn. An expected high of 34 degrees, humidex of 35, and continued widespread smoke will also play a factor today.

A heat warning is on for a majority of southwest Saskatchewan, and while a heat warning wasn't triggered early Thursday for local weather stations, it's still a good chance to remind people the dangers of high temperatures this time of year.
