Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association girls got their senior volleyball playoffs underway last week, trimming the field down to only the best teams in time for SHSAA Regionals this weekend. Multiple west central schools will be in the running, and even hosting this weekend as the season closes down.

Over on the boys side, their first round of action wasn’t set to begin until about a week later. Some teams used the time to get an extra tournament in. Either way, west central teams are ready to hit the court.

First, however, Beechy is the region's lone 1A team, and they will be playing in/against Frontier alongside Cabri, Fox Valley, and Vanguard. Luseland is a 2A team, but will be playing out of Neilburg against them, St. Walburg, Turtleford, Thunderchild, and Maidstone.
