Sewer and water prices are going to be on the rise for the community of Rosetown.

The new town council has decided to increase the prices for water and sewer on their first meeting they had on November 7. It was unanimously approved by the council to increase water costs by 50 cents and sewage costs by 25 cents monthly. The water consumption rate used to be $9.00 per 1,000 gallons, but has been bumped up to $9.50 per 1,000 gallons. Depending on the amount of water consumed, it is estimated that the increase in cost will generate about an extra $30,000 a year. The amounts represent the same level of increase the previous council approved.
