There will be six Saskatchewan citizens invested into the Saskatchewan Order of Merit in November. The Order of Merit is the province’s highest honour.

This year, the recipients are Mavis Ashbourne-Palmer, Hart Goen and Solomon Ratt of Regina, Kamsack’s Michael Bishop, Albert Brown from Saskatoon and Marie-Anne DayWalker-Pelletier, C.M., from Balcarres.

"The 2021 recipients of the Saskatchewan Order of Merit are remarkable citizens who are most deserving of this prestigious honour," Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty said.  "I offer my sincere congratulations to each recipient and I thank them for their invaluable contributions to our province."

The Saskatchewan Order of Merit was established in 1985 to recognized excellence and achievement from outstanding Saskatchewan citizens.
