The Kindersley Sr. Klippers hit the road for the first time yesterday, as they heading to Biggar to take on the Nationals. Kindersley got off to a quick start, notching two goals in the first eight minutes of the game, with Jessey Pocock and Shayne Neigum lighting the lamp.

Biggar bounced back with a couple of goals of their own, as leading scorer Chris Henry potted one on the powerplay with just under six minutes to go in the first. Then Derek Argue scored with 3:37 left in the second to tie the score.

The Sr. Klippers then got an opportunistic goal from former Edmonton Oiler Steve McIntyre, as he picked up the puck in the offensive zone and fired towards a surprised Brett Matlock.

After 1: Sr. Klippers 3 - 2 Nationals, shots 13-10 Nationals

The second period saw a flurry of goals, as Neigum got his second of the game on the powerplay on, to extend the lead to two. Then with 12:30 left Darian Dziurzynski scored on a nice give and go from Shayne Neigum to make the score 5-2. 

The Sr. Klippers weren't done there, as they managed to score another goal with 11:40 left in the second, as Jessey Pocock got his second of the game, to extend the lead to 6-2.

Biggar got on the board with 7:50 left in the second, as Brett Novak scored to make it 6-3. Then the Sr. Klippers answered back just over two minutes later as Jessey Pocock completed the hat trick, on a nice play by Kyle Donaldson taking the puck away on the forecheck and passing it out front to Pocock to make the score 7-3. 

Biggar got a late goal from Brett Parker with 1:51 left in the second, making the score 7-4.

The Sr. Klippers put this game to bed in the third period as they scored three straight goals in the early part of the third. First on the board for Kindersley was Dylan Georget, then Shayne Neigum completed his hat trick as well with 15:10 left to go in the third, with the assist going to Byron Ismond. Then on the powerplay with 12:49 left, David Dziurzynski scored to make the score 10-4.

The Nationals got a goal with 6:05 left on a 2 on 1 as Dylan Haynes was setup nicely by Kyle Dilosa, and that's as close as Biggar would get.

Captain Troy Boisjoli had a great night for the Sr. Klippers, picking up five assists in the win. Jessey Pocock managed three goals, and Shayne Neigum had a strong evening as well, scoring three, and picking up two assists. David Dziurzynski had a goal and two assists, and brother Darian had a goal and assist. Kyle Donaldson picked up two helpers in the victory.  

Brett Novak scored one, and picked up three assists for the Nationals in the loss. Chris Henry had a goal and two assists, and Brett Parker had a goal and one assist for Biggar.

The Sr. Klippers will be right back on the ice this evening against the Wilkie Outlaws at 7:30 from the WCEC.
