Hunters will enjoy an additional day of hunting in Saskatchewan, with province-wide Sunday hunting for all game species beginning with the 2009 hunting season.

Environment Minister Nancy Heppner announced it at the Annual Convention of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation.

She also said that the Environment Ministry will be modernizing the hunting and angling licencing system over the next year to allow the on-line purchasing of licences and permits.

This will bring Saskatchewan in line with the vast majority of North American jurisdictions, which already have Sunday hunting.
