UPDATE MAY 5, 2022:

It turns out the Swift Current Legionnaires weren't done with the local area, as they took their turn dipping into the U18 West Central Wheat Kings team that made a run to the final in signing Eston's Landyn Nash.

Nash finished third on the team in points this past season with 37 in 32 games, and he collected 8 points in 12 playoff games.

ORIGINAL May 4, 2022:

The Swift Current Legionnaires have been busy filling out their AAA roster for next season, with a couple of west central born players on the list. They certainly like what they see from the region, and are adding two talented young players, and one league veteran coming over after playing last year in the Battlefords.

First off, they were excited to sign two members of the U15 AA West Central Wheat Kings in Cam and Cobe Perlinger. Seeing as their sister plays hockey in the area they know it quite well, and it was a move made quickly following the conclusion of camp.

Cobe played 31 games, scoring 36 goals and collecting 42 assists for a total of 78 points. As for Cam, he collected similar numbers to his brother with a gaudy 78 points on the season as well.

Finally, the Legionnaires will be bringing in Kyle's Rylan Williams who played Battleford Stars U18AAA last year. Williams had 9 goals and 12 assists for 21 points in 44 games this year, and brings a nice compliment of experience to go along with the Perlinger's entering the league fresh next year.
