In the final wrap up before the preseason cuts, the Kindersley Jr. Klippers held the 2022 Kimmer Kup at the West Central Events Centre on Sunday afternoon.

The first two periods saw a pair of goals by Team White, taking a 2-0 lead into the third period. Then an explosion of goals happened, as seven goals in all were scored in the third, including the winner by Team White and Matt Mazzocchi with 5.4 seconds left, to give Team White the victory.

One of the many standouts in this game were the Paplawski brothers, Spencer and Adam, and 2006 born goaltender Jacob Morris. Also suburb in net was 2004 born goaltender Brayden Schenstead. 2004 born defenseman Kyler Smith also chipped in with a goal and an assist for Team Green in defeat.

Kindersley native Ethan Hilbig also scored for Team White, and had a strong game as well. Rosetown native Kayden Ostrom had a solid camp too, as he scored the opening goal for Team White. Ethan's brother Tylin was injured and did not participate in camp, but should be ready to rejoin the team very soon.

The rosters will be trimmed down to 28 before the team heads to Saskatoon to play La Ronge on Monday, and then Prince Albert to play the Flin Flon Bombers on Wednesday.
