This week's COVID-19 report from the province once again shows a lower test positivity rate and fewer confirmed cases of the virus in Saskatchewan.

As of May 28, the weekly test positivity rate was at 5.3 per cent, a slight decrease from the previous week (5.5 per cent). 

There were 364 new cases confirmed, also a drop from the previous report which had 376 new cases.

More than half of the 364 cases were people who are 50-years of age and older (52.5 per cent).

There were also 9 newly-reported COVID-19 deaths, compared to 12 the week before.

COVID-19 hospitalizations also dropped from 258 on May 25 to 232 on June 1.

The province also confirmed three COVID-19 outbreaks at long-term care homes in the latest report.
