The top two teams tangled earlier this year. It was Kyle's only loss this season and we're going to go back there now. Actually lets go a little further back... to the begining... all the way to the start.

It was Remembrance Day 2022...

Central Butte Flyers came to the Kyle Sports Centre. It's a tough place to play in for away teams. Great kitchen, but tough to take a win away from this place. The Elks won in overtime, but they looked shaky in their first game. They had no time to dwell on it with a game against Kenaston the next night.

Kyle lost at home to the defending league champs by a score of 6-4.

The Kyle Elks defeated Loreburn (6-5) by a narrow margin. The hockey watchers were wondering if the Elks were tired. The answer came quickly with convincing victories over Delisle (12-4) and Lucky Lake (11-5). They tightened up on defense and rolled through December like a wrecking ball, outscoring opponents 40 - 12 in the month.

They want that loss back, and this is their chance. Kenaston comes to Kyle with a perfect record and an extra jersey. Kyle's manager doesn't want to put it on, but that's how much faith he has in his team.
