Later in life she graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and a BA in Native Studies of which she was justifiably proud, and which she put to use as she entered the Social Work field with the Government first in Saskatchewan and later in Alberta. After marrying her husband Jim, Terry gave up her government job as they relocated to St Albert, Saskatoon, Red Deer and finally back to St Albert where she settled permanently in 2013 followed by retirement in 2016. While moving about Terry worked for a number of different government agencies as a contracted Social Worker and enjoyed the variety of new work this exposed her to.
