You might recognize the most recent family that snagged a Hometown Harvest meal delivery. Greg Martinson had his name pulled from the draw bin to win a Hometown Harvest package. He has been farming with his wife and Father-in-law in the Fiske area. If you live in the R.M. of Pleasant Valley you likely recognize Greg's father-in-law.

At the time of delivery Greg said the farm was on track to complete harvest at a reasonable amount of time.

But top of mind for the family this year is the 300 head of cattle they ranch. The dry year has caused some issues on the farm.

"Green feed has been cut and bailed. We actually cut all of our Barley crop here at Fisk because there wasn't going to be any bushels. I think feed for the winter we'll be tight but we should be OK," Greg shared.

Thanks to the green feed situation, the family only parted with a few bred heifers to ease up off of the grass, and Greg believes they shouldn't have to sell any cows.

While the family enjoyed the food, and pile of prizes, without a doubt the big hit of the delivery was the toy versatile tractor that was included by All West Sales. Greg's little guy Gabe immediately had it out and digging around in the dirt.

Congrats to the Martinsons on the win!
