The RCMP continue to look for two of three people wanted in connection with an incident that involved shots being fired at an officer in La Ronge last Sunday. One of the suspects was arrested Wednesday in Saskatoon.

Last Sunday, just before noon, RCMP officers attempted to make a traffic stop, but the vehicle continued on, pulling into a driveway at a residence. When the driver fled on foot, an officer followed. A second man got out of the vehicle, and fire a gun at the police vehicle as the second officer was getting out of the truck. One shot struck the windshield, and another hit the radiator.

Shortly after the shots were fired, multiple people left the home where the vehicle had parked and were arrested. This included a man and woman who were inside the car but had gone into the house after the shots were fired.

The two men, the driver and the man who fired the shots, fled from the scene. A third woman who was in the vehicle was unaccounted for.

Twenty-nine-year-old Terrance Daigneault was arrested in Saskatoon on Wednesday, along with 24-year-old Nikeyta Bradfield. While the charges against Daigneault were not officially released by the RCMP, the charges against Bradfield gave an indication of the ones faced by Daigneault.

Bradfield, who was not at the scene of the original incident, was charged with two counts of assisting Daigneault to get away from police, knowing he had attempted to murder an RCMP officer with a firearm.

Both Daigneault and Bradfield made appearances in La Ronge provincial court Friday.

The other two suspects have been identified as 22-year-old Celine Charles and 39-year-old Allan Sanderson.

Charles is described as 5’4”, weighing 112 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of a rose on her left hand, a heart and flame tattoo on her left arm and Charles tattooed on her chest. She is charged with obstruction and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Sanderson is wanted for obstruction and unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle. No detailed description was released by the RCMP.

RCMP ask that if you see either of the two suspects, to not approach them and to call 911 immediately.
