Story via Sun West School Division

Sun West recently received a very kind note from the Terry Fox Foundation thanking our schools for their participation in the 2021 Terry Fox Run.

As always, most Sun West schools participated in the Terry Fox Run this fall and raised thousands of dollars for cancer research. Special recognition goes to Davidson School and Elrose Composite School both that were in the top 10 money-raising schools in Saskatchewan. Davidson School raised $5,853.45, which was the second highest amount of money raised among secondary schools and Elrose Composite raised $4,246.50, which was the tenth highest among secondary schools.

Breanne Nemez, the Saskatchewan and Manitoba School Development Officer with the Terry Fox Foundation wrote: “We are so grateful to Sun West School Division and all your schools for their unwavering support. It is because of you that we are able to invest in the best cancer research in the country and give thousands of Canadians the gift of hope.”

Congratulations and thanks to all Sun West students and staff who participated in this worthy cause.
