It was a successful evening for the U18 AA West Central Wheat Kings Tuesday, as the team knocked off the Saskatoon Sabercats 3-2 in Saskatoon. In a chippy affair, which saw over 100 penalty minutes, the Wheat Kings managed to build a 2-1 lead heading into the third period after falling behind 1-0 early on. Austin Shepard answered for the Wheat Kings in the second with a pair of goals in the middle stanza to give the team the lead heading into the 3rd. Kaden Veller made it 3-1, half way through the third, and that turned out to be the game winner, as the Sabercats scored a powerplay goal late, but it wasn't enough, as West Central held on to the 3-2 victory.

Blake Sittler got the win between the pipes for the U18 AA Wheat Kings. Next action for West Central is November 19 against the Humboldt AA Broncos in Unity. The Wheat Kings now sit with a 6-5-2 record after last night's win.
