All players had a chance to bat in what organizers called Elrose Rules Cricket. The game went on for about 2.5 hours and everyone was happy with the event.
22 men played a game of cricket in Elrose Sunday June 12th.
Local residents practice the game of cricket beforehand. Money raised from the BBQ went to the Elrose School Playground fundraiser. The game was played on a ball diamond. Practice ahead of time was indoors at the local hockey arena.
Team Blue beat Team Red in the exhibition match 225 - 127. A crowd of approximately 200 people watched and enjoyed the burgers, pop, sunny weather, and the game on the field.
