Another weekend of exciting Sask First hockey wrapped up this past weekend in Regina.

All 8 teams took part in a pool-play round robin. The three local players on Team Navy finished 0-3 on the weekend. Team Red featured two locals, and they finished with a 1-2 record. Finally, Team White featured one local player and they managed to pick up two wins and one tie.

Team Navy dropped the D Final 6-2 against Team Black, Team Red won their matchup 6-3 against Team Yellow in the C Final. Team White took home a win in the B Final as they defeated Team Green.

The U18 boy's tournament started up this morning. Six different locally based players are on the ice at the Co-operators Centre in Regina, looking to showcase their talent and ability in front of many scouts from the SJHL and WHL.

Team Navy

  • Cooper Flath - (Dinsmore) - Swift Current Broncos
  • Carson Kraft - (Kerrobert) - Prairie Hockey Academy
  • Hayden Meszaros - (Biggar) - NorthWest Stars

Team Red

  • Deegan German - (Kindersley) - West Central Wheat Kings
  • Chase Weinkauf - (Macklin) - West Central Wheat Kings

Team White

  • Lucas Richmond - (Kerrobert) - Kerrobert/Luseland Tigers
