RCMP Report – December 20 to December 26, 2022

UNITY REPORTS

· RCMP received a complaint of an adult supplying vape paraphernalia to youth but the complainant was unwilling to provide a statement. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

· Police received a report of a single vehicle collision on Highway 14 near Unity. There were no injuries and no charges were laid. Reported for insurance purposes.

· Members attempted a traffic stop where the vehicle fled from police. This matter is still under investigation.

· RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Highway 21 near Unity. There were no injuries and no charges were laid. Reported for insurance purposes.

· Members assisted Saskatoon Police Services by obtaining a statement from an individual in the Detachment area.

· Police received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.

· CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction on Highway 14 near Unity. Reported for information purposes.

· RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision with a train. The vehicle got stuck in a large snow drift on the railway track and the vehicle driver was unable to move the vehicle before the train arrived. The rail crew attempted to stop the train but were unsuccessful. There were no injuries and no charges were laid. Reported for insurance purposes.

· Police attempted a traffic stop where the vehicle fled from Members. This matter is still under investigation.

· There were also three false alarms and two false 911 calls.

WILKIE REPORTS

· CP Rail reported a train blocking the railway crossing in Wilkie. Reported for information purposes.

· RCMP received a complaint of fraud but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

· Police received a report of possible drug production at a residence due to a large cloud of steam being emitted in the area of the house. Members attended and discovered the steam was coming from a vent. No further police action required.

· Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member.

· There was also one false alarm.

MACKLIN REPORT

· RCMP received a report of a residential fire. Macklin Fire Department extinguished the fire which was not suspicious in nature.

· Police received a complaint of theft but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

· Members received a report of a hit and run causing damage to a vehicle. There are no suspects at this time. Reported for insurance purposes.

· RCMP are investigating a complaint of identity fraud.

· Police received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.


RCMP Report – December 27, 2022 to January 2, 2023

UNITY REPORTS

· RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle in Scott. The vehicle had been stolen from Wilkie. This matter is still under investigation.

· Police received a complaint of criminal harassment but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

· RCMP received a complaint of trespassing on private property in a rural area near Winter. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint.

· Members are investigating a complaint of theft.

· Police conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member.

· RCMP received a complaint of assault. The victim declined to proceed.

· There were also two traffic complaints and one false alarm.

WILKIE REPORTS

· RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Highway 29 near Wilkie. There were no injuries and no charges were laid. Reported for insurance purposes.

· Police received a report of a stolen vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

· Members attended the sudden death of a 77-year-old Wilkie male. The death was not suspicious in nature.

· RCMP received a report of a missing person. The complainant called back to inform Members the individual had been located.

· Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member.

· There were also two traffic complaints.

MACKLIN REPORT

· RCMP received a complaint of an individual damaging a vehicle. The complainant declined to proceed.

· Members acted as mediators in a dispute between two adults.

· Police received a complaint of theft but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

· RCMP received a complaint of dogs running loose in town. The complainant contacted Members to state the owner retrieved the animals.

· A 35-year-old male from Macklin was charged with Fail to Comply with Probation Order during a traffic stop. A traffic ticket was also issued to the vehicle driver.

· Police received a noise complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

· RCMP received a complaint of criminal harassment but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

· Members received a Mental Health Act complaint. The subject of complaint was in the care of a family member who did not require Members to attend.

· There was also one false alarm.
