Jakin Lawrence of the Battlefords Stars U18 AAA is having a solid season, and just recently scored an overtime winner, along with another one earlier in the game, to help the Stars knock off the Saskatoon Contacts 4-3.

Lawrence has 10 goals and 6 assists for 16 points in 29 games played for the Battlefords this season. Teammate Rylan Williams from Kyle has 5 goals and 8 assists for 13 points in 34 games played in his second year with the team.

Battlefords holds a 11-19-4 record heading into play this weekend.

Lucky Lake product Jayden Jessiman and the high flying Warman Wildcats lead the way in the SMAAAHL with a 23-5-1 record. Jessiman is not disappointing on the scoresheet, as he is second on the team with 16 goals and 19 assists for 35 points in 28 games played, which is also good for seventh in the league.

Unity's Karson Blanchette, whose right were recently traded to the Kindersley Jr. Klippers, is having a solid season for the Prince Albert Mintos, with 9 goals and 11 assists for 20 points in 29 games. 

The Mintos are 17-11-1 so far this season, good enough for seventh in league standings as of January 19.

Kindersley's Carter Cormier is having a good season as captain for the Swift Current Legionnaires, putting up 4 goals and 13 assists for 17 points in 17 games played. 

Swift Current has a 13-14-3 record heading into play this weekend.

Meanwhile Cater Ralston's rookie season is underway in Tisdale with the Trojans, and the Unity product has 9 goals and 7 assists for 16 points in 29 games played for the young Trojans squad.

Tisdale sits last in the SMAAAHL with a 3-24-2 record.
