West Central Online has become aware of a trio of Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League local signings, most notably a pair of U18 AA West Central Wheat Kings that will now make the jump to AAA following their amazing playoff run.

Kerrobert's Austin Shepherd and Macklin's Kaden Veller both were officially signed by the Battlefords U18 AAA Stars yesterday, after both are coming off an appearance at Sask First tournaments earlier this month. This season with the Wheat Kings, the forward Shepherd had 41 points in 30 games, while Veller was nearly a point per game with 28 points in 33 games.

One more move from the past week sees a Kindersley skater in Pryce Thiessen joining the Tisdale Trojans next year. This past season, Thiessen was a member of the Burnaby Winter Club U15 Prep team, now moving back to Saskatchewan for a SMAAAHL roster spot next season. He totaled 10 points (4G, 6A) in 16 games played.
