It was a busy weekend for basketball teams from all over the province, as the annual HOOPLA tournament took place from March 23 to 25.
Two teams from the west central region made the podium, with a silver and bronze medal being awarded.
Starting in 2A Girls, Wilkie made it to the gold medal game against Regina Laval, after defeating Rocanville 66-42 in the semi finals. The bronze medal game was a close one, but it was Regina Laval who came out on top 51-43.
Meanwhile in 3A Boys, Unity won bronze, defeating Fort Qu'Appelle 67-64.
