Pee Wee AA Wheat Kings

The West Central Pee Wee AA Wheat Kings have a weekend off after going a perfect 3-0 last weekend in Saskatchewan AA Hockey League action. The Wheat Kings started their road trip with a 4-1 win over the Humboldt AA Broncos at the Elgar Peterson Arena Friday night with Cole Reschny getting 4 points in the win.

West Central continued their success against the Broncos on Saturday with a 7-3 triumph over Humboldt. Cole Reschny had another big day with a hat trick to go along with an assist and Pryce Thiessen had another 2 goal effort to bring his goal total up to 4 for the weekend so far.

The Wheat Kings finished off their weekend road trip by defeating the Melfort AA Mustangs 6-0. Pryce Thiessen got one more goal to have 5 for the weekend and Cole Reschny once again had 4 points and 3 goals in the victory.

The Wheat Kings lead the Centre Four division with an 18-0-1 mark after play this past weekend.

West Central is off until next week when the host the Battlefords Barons in Macklin on Jan 31.


Bantam AA Wheat Kings

The Bantam AA West Central Wheat Kings had one home game this weekend coming off their first victory of the season over Estevan on January 12. The Wheat Kings played host to the Prince Albert Pirates in Kerrobert and fell 7-3 to the visiting Pirates. Mitchell Robbie, Karson Blanchette, and Austin Shepherd scored for West Central in the loss.

The Wheat Kings have a pair of games this week starting on the road against the Saskatoon Maniacs tomorrow night from Melis Belsher Place and will wrap up their weekend against the Warman Wildcats in Kerrobert on Saturday at 4:30.

The Bantams are lead by Karson Blanchette who has 41 points in 22 games for the Wheat Kings this season. Mitchell Robbie has 22 points and Austin Shepherd has 18 to wrap up the top 3 scorers for West Central this season.
