Friday was a day where many staff and students from Westberry Elementary School were seen wearing pink shirts during classes.

The occasion coincided with their Anti-Bullying Awareness Week which had every child engaged in a number of activities and lessons throughout the week. On Friday, the students were encouraged to wear pink-coloured clothing for their Pink Day. Schools partipate in the commemorative theme day to help promote anti-bullying.

Throughout the week, students took part in different exercises such as learning the virtues which tied in with anti-bullying. For example, classes enjoyed a craft activity which involved writing or drawing on an inspirational pink shirt and describing different acts of kindness.

Both images feature the inspirational pink shirts from different classrooms.

Students created a variety of posters to mark the occasion for Friday.

On Friday, the school brought in the Persephone Theatre from Saskatoon for a special performance during the morning. Students and staff gathered in the gymnasium as the theatre group put on an hour long show following the theme of anti-bullying.

The theatre group captivated the audience with their music and creative acting.
