Both the U11 and U13 Western Prairie Thunder girls teams were in action in tournaments this past weekend.

The U11 team won bronze at the Kindersley tournament, and the U13 team won bronze down in Swift Current.

The U13 team is having a great season in the Saskatchewan Female Hockey League, posting a 14-0 record so far this season.

Stevie Christiaens leads the team with 37 goals and 14 assists for 51 points in 14 games played. Sitting second on the team in points is Emma Christison with 27 goals and 18 assists for 45 points in 14 games played. Third on the team in scoring and second with 30 goals is Claire Kosolofski who has 11 assists as well for 41 points in 14 games played. Next action for the U13 Western Prairie Thunder is a game in Elrose against the Western Prairie Redwings at 6:00 pm Monday, January 24. Their next home game is against the Southwest Cyclones on January 29 in Kindersley at 4:15 pm.

As for the U11 team, there are having a solid season as well, posting a 5-0-1 record so far this season. The U11 Western Prairie Thunder's next game is this Saturday at 3:30 pm in Kindersley against the Lake Diefenbaker Thunder.
