Wholesale trade in Saskatchewan had just over a 70% increase to 1.9 billion dollars in August of this year compared to August of last year according to Statistics Canada.

Saskatchewan's wholesale trade increased by 5.2%  between July 2008 and August 2008, the second highest increase among the provinces.  British Columbia recording the highest increase at 5.5%.

Nationally, wholesale trade declined by 1.5% between July 2008 and August 2008 and only saw a 1% increase from August 2007 to August 2008.
