Visibility has improved in many areas in the West Central region this morning. However, there is still some reduced visibility being reported around the Unity, Macklin,  Eatonia and Alsask areas.

UPDATE: 7:00 AM, November 29, 2022

It's still winter driving around Kindersley this morning on Highway 21 and Highway 7. Icy and slippery sections are joined by ongoing and already drifted snow, that is apparent all around the West Central region.

Visibility is worse around the Kerrobert and Luseland area, as well up by Unity. That is also the case down by Leader.

UPDATE: 2:30 PM, November 28, 2022

Reduced visibility is continuing to be noticed around West Central highways. That is expected to keep on through this afternoon into the evening, as swirling snow, snow drifts, drifting snow, and icy and slippery spots should be present with dark skies approaching.

UPDATE: 11:30AM

Blowing snow is still causing very poor visibility in the region. Those that chose to not drive last night are going to have a tough decision this morning on whether they want to make it the rest the way home or ride out this storm.

Forecast for today: Snow and blowing snow. 2 to 4 cm. Wind northwest 40 km/h gusting to 60.  to minus 13 this afternoon. Wind chill near minus 25.

Tonight: Snow. Blowing snow this evening. Amount 2 cm. Wind northwest 40 km/h gusting to 60. Low minus 18. Wind chill minus 25 this evening and minus 30 overnight. Risk of frostbite.

Tue, 29 Nov: Periods of light snow. Wind northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50. High minus 15. Wind chill minus 30 in the morning and minus 24 in the afternoon. Risk of frostbite.

Night: Cloudy periods. Low minus 20.

Another system is moving into the West Central part of the province prompting a winter storm warning. Snowfall amounts totaling 10 to 20 cm are expected beginning this afternoon as a low-pressure system tracks through the province. This evening, northwesterly winds gusting up to 70 km/h will develop across southwestern Saskatchewan as the snow is ongoing. Poor to near zero visibility in snow and blowing snow are expected tonight into Monday morning.

Conditions will improve Monday afternoon as both winds and snow gradually diminish through the day.
