Prairie farmers far and wide came out to the Kindersley Elks Hall on Wednesday, to bask in some appreciation for all the hard work they do every year.
The Classic Hits and Country 104 Farmer Appreciation Luncheon got started at 11 am on June 6th and ran to 1 pm. Aside from a little wind, it was a beautiful day with not a cloud in the sky.
Volunteers from West Central Abilities cooked burgers and hotdogs for any hungry farmers who showed up, raising money to go towards their new facility.
With farmers coming from as far as North Battleford and Oyen, Alberta, and over 300 burgers and hot dogs being sold, it's safe to say this year's lunch was a success.
Throughout the course of the day, roughly 180 guests were in attendance.
All who attended were able to enter their name in for some awesome prizes, while any active farmers in attendance were able to enter into to the draw for the Meridian GM 3000 grain bin.
The draws for the prizes will take place on Friday, June 8th. Tune into the Classic Hits or Country 104 morning show that day to find out who won.
