Events for Rosetown's 9th annual Harvest Family Festival get started today!
Tonight the Rosetown Legion Hall will be hosting a performance at 7:30 featuring the Trudel Family and the McConnells. Prior to the show though, the Rosetown Citizen of the Year Award will be presented by Classic Hits. Doors open for the hall at 6:30 tonight.
Friday will be a busy day with a BBQ lunch at the Legion Hall from 11:30 to 1:30. Business decorating contest winners will be announced at this time. Following that will be the pumpkin carving contest at the Legion Hall from 12 to 1.
At 7 pm on Friday, there will be a movie night at Walter Aseltine Elementary and a Rosetown Royals football game under the lights at the high school.
People will begin assembling for the parade on Saturday at 8:30 am until the parade gets started at 10 am. Main Street in Rosetown will then fill up with vendors, demonstrations and family activities including pony rides, a petting zoo, and face painting. Classic Hits will have a booth set up near athletes haven, where we will be handing out prizes and taking entries for tickets to John Mellencamp in Saskatoon on October 29th. Entries will also be accepted for the longest distance traveled contest. Then some fireworks around dusk will cap the day off.
Sunday is the last day for Harvest Fest events, with the Harvest Hustle Fun Run starting at the youth centre at 9 am. Then the Tough Trucks will take over the sports grounds at 1 pm to show you what they're made of.
Have a great 2019 Harvest Family Festival!!!
