A dangerous animal alert went out over the weekend for Douglas Provincial Park. Alert Ready will notify any activated cell phones in the area. So if you were a camper or a resident in the area you should have recieved the notice sent out by the provincial government.

Douglas Prov Park

Conservation officers say humans are the main reason bears come into an area. You are reminded to never approach or feed a bear. Always keep food stored away in odourless containers, and keep them away from your vehicle or campsite.

Bears can usually be relocated. In rare occasions they will be put down if the same bear keeps returning to the same place.
