Saskatchewan is looking to improve its response to wildfires by adding crop dusting planes to support fire fighting crews.

Crop dusters are efficient and fast. They have a quick turn around and could drop water four or five times within 50 kilometers.

26 pilots from the Saskatchewan Aerial Applicators Association have been trained so far.

Toward the end of the month, once seeding is done, they'll do some practice dumps to test how well it will work. is West Central Saskatchewan's only source for community news, weather, and information.
