The AAA Redwings are hard to beat this year, and fans have noticed. They had a record attendance for the season at Saturday's game vs. Innisfail Eagles. Allan Cup Hockey West standings have Rosetown way ahead of Stony Plain, Lacombe, Innisfail and Fort Saskatchewan.
Everyone was asked to bring a Teddy Bear and they could toss it on the ice after the 1st Rosetown goal. There was a drone to give away for incentive as well. Everyone who brought a Teddy Bear or non -perishable food item was entered to win the drone.
Joan Robbie from the Rosetown Food bank said the teddy bears will be very helpful this year. She was quite impressed with how many were recieved. They filled the back of the surburban, and they are now ready for distribution through the food bank.
The Redwings won 5 - 4 in a shoot out on Saturday. The Sunday Afternoon game was much different where the home team got out in front early and never looked back on their way to a 7-2 victory.
