Lloyd Giles is among half a dozen members of the Dusty Wheels Auto Club who will have a vehicle in Saskatoon this weekend. It's the 58th annual Draggins Rod and Custom Car Show at Prairieland Park.
He will be joined by car lovers from across western Canada, competing for over $10,000 in trophies and cash awards. It will be at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon 10am - 10pm on Friday March 29th and Saturday March 30th.
Giles said that his brother bought the 36 Chev truck from the Rosetown Co-op in 1971 for about 50 bucks and rebuilt it at his shop. It was always a hot rod, but recent changes have brought it up to high enough standard to have in the show this Easter Weekend.
Sask Abilities and Camp Easter Seals will receive proceeds from the show. $15 per adult, $5 children 6 - 15, $10 for seniors. Pre-schoolers are free along with anyone with cognitive or physical disabilities or in wheel chairs.
