Be safe when using a bicycle on the road. You will be sharing that same road with vehicles traveling faster. Between 2004 and 2013, 204 children between the ages of 1 and 9 years were hospitalized in SK due to bike injuries.

Through the warmer months many of us will bike to work. Most of these people can be found in larger cities where biking can be quicker than being caught in traffic. Accidents still happen whether you're in a city or in small town Saskatchewan. They tend to happen when bikers play by their own rules: not wearing a helmet and not using proper bike etiquette.

  • check the brakes
  • tire pressure
  • full control of steering
  • when biking at night have lights and reflectors.

It's warm out! Take advantage of the limited time to bicycle around the area.
