The Kindersley Sr. Klippers could go into 2019 with an undefeated record if they're able to get a couple wins this weekend.

Their weekend opener is another difficult matchup against the Wilkie Outlaws tonight in Wilkie, then a Saturday night home affair with the Luseland Mallards.

The first time the Wilkie Outlaws and the Kindersley Sr. Klippers played each other this season, Kindersley left Wilkie with a 4-3 victory on December 15th. It was the first regulation defeat for the Outlaws from a Kindersley senior team since January 15th, 2015.

Now that the monkeys are off their backs, the Klippers are aiming to get another two points out of Wilkie tonight, but it won't be a walk in the park. The Outlaws have scored the highest amount of goals this season at 94 in only 12 games. In their last game, it took a great performance from Kindersley goaltender Luke Sproule, good defensive work and discipline to knock down the Outlaws. Not to mention Wilkie came back from two goals down to make it a one-goal deficit in the final minutes of play.

While tonight will be another tough challenge for the Klippers, they will be ready for the battle ahead. Kindersley has allowed the fewest amount of goals this season and are near the top for least amount of penalty minutes at 136 PIMs heading into this weekend's games.

The team that is tied with them on penalty minutes is who they will play tomorrow night in Kindersley. In their last outing, the Klippers routed the Mallards 12-2 at the Co-op Arena. While Kindersley are 10-0-0-0 on the year, Luseland has been struggling to find points this season and have fallen to a record of 0-10-0-0. Both teams will close out the 2018 portion of their schedules tomorrow in Kindersley.

Tonight's game in Wilkie will be broadcast live on Classic Hits Radio 1210/1330 on the AM dial. Tune in live at 8:15 p.m. for the pre-game show as the game is set to begin at 8:30 p.m. from the SaskCan Community Centre in Wilkie.

The Sr. Klippers and the Mallards will start at 8:00 p.m. tomorrow in Kindersley.
