The PJHL schedule has teams in action right until the end of this weekend before clubs are off for the holiday break when the league resumes play on January 2nd.

For the Delisle Chiefs, they are aiming to end 2018 at the top of the league standings with three games this week. It all starts tonight for them against a team they have already fought twice this season -- the Prince Albert Titans.

In their first meeting this season, the Chiefs cruised to a 7-0 win in Prince Albert. The next matchup was a little more difficult as Delisle squeaked by with a 3-2 overtime win at home.

Media relations coordinator for the Chiefs, Troy Souster, said despite the earlier wins this year, tonight's game will be no easy task.

The Chiefs are coming off a dominating 10-4 victory over the Carrot River Outback Thunder on Saturday in Dodsland. Delisle will be back at the Dodsland rink one more time this regular season when they face the West Central Rage on January 19, 2019.

Delisle is currently tied for 1st in both the division and league standings heading into a crucial next few days of hockey. After tonight's contest, the Chiefs are in Kerrobert to battle the Rage on Friday, then it's an important two points on the line versus the Quakers on Saturday in Delisle.

Souster gave us a breakdown of those two weekend games before the league heads into the holiday break.

The Rage and Chiefs square off at 7:30 p.m. Friday and the Quakers are in Delisle against the Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. as well.
